Local Nonprofit Bookstore Presents Two Literary Events

The local nonprofit bookstore The Reading Room CLE is putting on a couple of events this week. On Thursday October 21 it presents what it’s calling ‘The Horrorshow,” at Mill Creek Falls Overlook’s Cataract Falls (8432 Webb Terrace, Cleveland)

“How did we come here? What have we done? What choices have we still to make, if we want to survive?” are the questions they says thy will ask of local writers and performers. “The inaugural Mary Shelley Lake Effect Prize for Horror Performance will be awarded by audience acclamation,” they share.

Gathering starts at 6; program starts at 7. Bring a lawn chair if you like; refreshments will be available for purchase. RSVP is required; go here.

Then, on Saturday October 2, the group will be hosting the “winedown” at Twelve Literary Arts, 1484 E. 105th Street. Brittany Jay and DJ Verb will host an evening of performances by Adam Spells, Danielle Dixon, Anthony “Amptified” Evans, Journee Blu and others. Food and drink will be available for purchase; there’ll be other vendors onsite as well. Tickets are $15; go here to purchase.
