Come to a Fall Festival at Chef’s Garden in Huron

Sat 10/23 @ 9-4PM

Farmer Jones is best known for his association with The Chef’s Garden in Huron, started by his family more than three decades ago. It supplies high-quality specialty vegetables, herbs and microgreens to chefs across the country, using regenerative farming practices. More recently, it’s also made them available to the general public. Farmer Jones himself has been a tireless evangelist for health growing and eating practices. He’s also published a book called The Chef’s Garden: A Modern Guide to Common and Unusual Vegetables — with Recipes, a veritable bible for vegetable lovers.

Another part of his making his special harvest available to the public are his weekly markets at his farm which have been going on all season with a permanent farm market location.

This week it hosts a Fall Festival, which will include pumpkin painting and face painting, marmalade tasting, a discussion with Prospect Jam founder Emily Hutton and Chef Jamie Simpson of the Culinary Vegetable Institute at Chef’s Garden, coffee from Sheri’s Coffeehouse, and pick your own flowers. In addition, you can have your photo taken with Farmer Jones. Wear your best overalls!

Activities will be going on all day.
