Akron Musician Zach Plays His New Album for Fans at the Rialto Theatre

Thu 10/28 @ 7-11PM

Since the late ’90s, musician/peace activist/traveler/Kirtan practitioner Zach Friedhof has been a tireless presence in the Akron music scene, performing, releasing album after album, and organizing events that often blend music and the arts with mindfulness and his dedication to spreading positive vibes.

Now he’s released an incredible 24th (!) album, called Guideline. He says, “Guideline is a powerful project. Most of these songs have been written after my mom passed last year. All of the songs were performed, recorded and co-mixed by me. A first!” He does admit to a little bit of outside though: Jeri Sapronetti, Randi Driscoll and Matthew DeRubertis performed on the title track.

You can order a physical album or download at Zach’s website. But if you’d like to immerse yourself in it and enjoy some interaction with the artist, he’s hosting a listening party Thursday October 28 at Akron’s Rialto Theatre. The album will be played in its entirety on the big speakers and Zach will play a short set as well.

Tickets are $10 and are available at guideline-a-unique-listening-party-experience. Proceeds go to support the Rialto Theatre.
