Bicycle Film Festival Includes Short Films About Cycling All Over the World

Fri 9/17 @ 6PM-Sun 9/26 @ 11:59PM

The Bicycle Film Festival returns to Cleveland for its 20th year, with local advocacy group Bike Cleveland hosting the international touring event. You won’t be surprised to hear that it’s virtual.

The advantage is that ticket holders have ten days to stream the 90-minute diverse mix of all-new short films devoted to bicyclists of all types from all over the world: both documentaries and narrative films, directed by both noted filmmakers and newcomers.

The topics addressed range from female bike messengers in New York, to the story of a young woman cyclist in Iran, the first BMX crew in Nigeria and a BLM bike protest ride from New York to Washington D.C. Learn about a Ghanaian immigrant in Amsterdam who teaches refugee women to ride bikes and how a father deals with the loss of a son by bicycling.

Tickets are on a sliding scale of $10-$20; all ticket prices get the same content. Go here to buy them.
