Sat 9/25 @10AM-noon

Currently Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is mounting a multi-venue exhibit called CONVERGE, featuring the work of more than 70 Ohio LGBTQ+ artists.

AAWR is offering a series of programs in conjunction with the show. One of them is called “Our AIDS Story,” and it’ a two-part program presented with moCa Cleveland which will be presenting the National AIDS Memorial Quilt and hosting part two on December1, World AIDS Day.

“Grounded in the practices of community-building and healing, these unique programs will be structured as inclusive story sharing circles,” AAWR says. Rabbi Rachel Davidson, chaplain resident at the VA Medical Center, will facilitate the September 24 program at AAWR.  All are invited to join the discussion to share their personal experiences with AIDS. Among those sharing their stories will be CONVERGE artists Bret Hines, William Martin Jean, Gil Kudrin, Jessica Pinsky, and Dan Rothenfeld. The gallery will be open from noon-4pm so participants can see AAWR’s portion of the show.

Advance registration is required. Go to artistsarchives.org.
