Sun 8/8 @ 10AM-5PM
Yet another popular event which was canceled last year returns to the calendar — in fact, two events which are held in simultaneously in nearby locations with a free bus ride connecting them.
The Geauga Park District’s 30th annual Nature Arts Festival takes place at Big Creek Park, while the Chardon Square Association’s 40th annual Chardon Arts Festival happens on Historic Chardon Square, just a five-minute ride away.
There’ll be more than 100 artists on Chardon Square for the juried art show including this year’s featured local artist, Jim Anderson of Farmhouse Stoneware who has been in the show for 40 years and was involved in its founding. Learn more about the festival and see the full lineup for artists at chardonsquareassociation.org.
The Nature Arts Festival in Big Creek Park features 50 regional artists who specialize in nature & wildlife art and farm market vendors. There’ll be food and refreshments, live music and entertainment, make & take crafts, face painting, balloon art, and nature-inspired poetry and prose readings as well. Get complete info on what’s happening when at geaugaparkdistrict.org.
Admission and parking are free for both festivals, and both are fully wheelchair/stroller accessible.
