The farming programs hosted at Cuyahoga alley National Park include resident farms leased to farmers for long periods, the Countryside Farmers Market in Howe Meadow, and the Countryside New Farmer Academy training the next generation of farmers and bring down the average age of those farming today.
The Bubbles and Bouquets benefit at Old Trail Farm is raising money to grow the Countryside New Farmer Academy. The group’s instructors and interns will be bringing freshly picked flowers and inviting guests to create their own bouquets while they imbibe cocktails in the farms healing garden area. They’ll also be encouraged to tour the farm and see what’s growing.
It’s an open-house event; one you buy your ticket you can come any time during the event. A $50 ticket includes a bouquet, appetizers and one cocktail; others will be available for $5.
