This Week It’s Beethoven Night at Blossom with the Cleveland Orchestra

Sun 8/1 @ 7PM

You know if it’s summer at Blossom Music Center, there’s going to be Beethoven, and this is that week.

Beethoven’s 1813 Symphony No. 7, a longtime audience favorite a section of which was heard of the soundtrack of the 2010 movie The King’s Speech, culminates the all-Beethoven concert which opens with his Piano Concerto No. 4. Soloist for that piece is veteran American pianist Garrick Ohlsson. On the podium leading the orchestra will be an even more veteran figure: Swedish conductor Herbert Blomstedt who at age 94 is the oldest currently active conductor.

For tickets go to clevelandorchestra/blossom-21/.
