Ignite! Neighbor Night Provides Fun, Performers and Discussion

Thu 7/15 @ 5-8PM

Ingenuity Cleveland’s Ignite! Neighbor Nights continue, even as the organization is expanding its outreach, embracing new events and announcing a new format for its annual festival in late September.

The theme of July’s neighbor night, taking place like all the others at the corner of St. Clair and East 55th, is “Power of Words: Social Justice, Storytelling & Cultural Power.” There’ll be performers, including Rhythm and Release and Karamu’s youth performance group, and discussions around that theme as well as activities that are just pure fun: Zygote Press will be there with hands-on printmaking opportunities and Heyman! Productions will be helping people create journals to take home.

Other partners onsite include the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank (free books for kids!), Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries, Returning Artists Guild and Cuyahoga County Jail Coalition. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank and Community Greenhouse Partners will be there with food too.

The event is free and open to all.
