GardenWalk Cleveland Offers the Chance to Explore Seven Neighborhoods

Sat 7/10-Sun 7/11 @ 10AM-5PM

Last year, we were just getting ready to post our annual listing of summer festivals — more than 100 — in mid-March when, well — you know.

The only major festival that ended up taking place was GardenWalk, the annual two-day self-tour of area community and home gardens, founded in 2011, taking place in multiple neighborhoods. Since its locations are spread out (and outdoors) social distancing and avoiding crowds was easy to do.

This year, the event features even more gardens in even more neighborhoods. On Saturday, you can visit Fairfax, Glenville, Old Brooklyn and West Park; on Sunday, the action moves to Broadway/Slavic Village (where it will be running simultaneously with Rooms to Let), Clifton-Baltic, Collinwood, Detroit-Shoreway and Little Italy. It’s a great opportunity not only to chat with local farmers and gardens and pick up ideas for your own garden, but also to explore different neighborhoods and visit their shops and restaurants.
