Tuesday’s a lazy day but it’s a perfect day to go to a farmer’s market and stock up on fresh veggies and fruit. Luckily, there are several Tuesday markets in the area.
The Summit Lake Farmers Market at 380 W. Crosier Street in Akron not only offers locally grown produce and locally made products, it provides free canoe rides courtesy of Akron Civic Commons. It runs Tuesdays 4-7pm through September 28.
The Tremont Farmers Market takes place in Lincoln Park, just a stone’s throw from downtown Cleveland, every Tuesday through October 12 from 4-7pm, with a 3:30-4pm shopping opportunity for those medically at risk. In addition to vendors of both produce and prepared food and booths hosted by businesses, organizations & the Cuyahoga Department of Sustainability, the market features music performers each week.
