Main Street Kent and Troppus Projects are hosting an art fundraiser/silent auction called “Something’s Got to Give,” with work on display in downtown Kent at 141 S. Water Street August 4-27. It will consist of pieces contributed to the cause by community members. Those interested in participating should create and donate a 6” x 6” piece of artwork in any media; Troppus has free mixed-media paper available. Three-dimensional 6” x 6” x 6” works are also acceptable.
People are invited to drop in to the show throughout August and bid on the work. A closing reception will be held on Friday August 27 @ 5-7pm. All proceeds from the auction will go to Main Street Kent to support local businesses and the arts.
