Fairmount Center for the Arts Puts Out Call for Entries for Annual Art Show

The Fairmount Center for the Arts in Novelty has put out a call for entries for its 45th annual art exhibition, a exhibit which showcases some of the area’s top professional artists as well as aspiring ones. In the past, Fairmount Center has had as many as 350 submissions to choose the 150 works that comprised the show. Artists working in 2-D and 3-D media of all types are welcome to submit.

“Artists are invited to enter their artwork in numerous categories for an opportunity to have their work presented and judged,” they tell us. “Monetary prizes will be awarded, including $1000 for Best in Show, $200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place and multiple honorable mention awards.”

Entries will be accepted Saturday July 31 @ 10am-4pm and Monday August 2 @ noon-8pm. The show runs August 9-26, with a closing reception Thursday August 26 @ 6:30-9pm. The show is free and open to the public.
