Detroit-Shoreway Music Club The Happy Dog Re-Opens

Fri 6/25-Sat 6/26

Here’s some great news for Cleveland’s indie rock community: this weekend, the Happy Dog in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood reopens for business. In fact, that community has been so eagerly awaiting this news that both its Friday evening show with Herzog and Red Devil Riders and its Saturday show with Oregon Space Trail of Doom and Arms & Armour are sold out. Get on the ball if you want tickets for their second weekend July 2-3! Get your tickets here.

As outspoken owner Sean Watterson has made clear, it’s been a struggle and the delay in dispersing the Save Our Stages money, which was supposed to happen months ago, hasn’t helped. They’ll operate on more limited days/hours for the time being, as well as limited capacity. But with the Beachland, Grog Shop and BOP STOP already offering full calendars of music and Jilly’s in Akron set to reopen in a few weeks, things are looking up for local live music fans.
