Cleveland Museum of Natural History Holds Its First Centennial Soiree

Fri 6/18 @ 6:30PM

This week the Cleveland Museum of Natural History kicks off its 100-year anniversary celebration with the first in its series of four Centennial Soirees.

The first, on Friday June 18, called “The Science of the Stars,” features an astronomy theme to mark the summer solstice. Guests will first get four-course dinner created by Aaron Coon, executive chef at Zack Bruell events, with wine pairings by wine expert Greg Miller. Then they’ll be able to see a live planetarium show and if the weather permits, look at the heavens in the observatory. CMNH astronomy experts Jason Davis, Peter Hedman and Nick Anderson will host a discussion for those who want to learn more. The event takes place mostly outdoors to take advantage of what will hopefully be beautiful summer weather.

The series continues with future soirees on September 24, and next year January 21 and April 29. For more information about the series, go to cmnh/centennial-soiree-series-astronomy.
