Cedar Fairmount Kicks off Music Thursdays, Family Saturdays & Food Truck Tuesdays

Thu 6/24 @ 7-8:30PM

Sat 6/26 @ 2-4PM

We already told you that the annual Cedar Fairmount Festival, which took place all on one day in August, has been replaced by a series of smaller events: Food Truck Tuesday, Family Arts/Entertainment Saturdays and Music Thursdays.

This week, horn-heavy swing/jump blues/R&B ensemble Blue Lunch, who have been rocking dance floors in the area for nearly 40 years, will play in the parting lot next to Nighttown Thursday June 24 @ 7-8:30. Grab some food from one of the intersections many eateries, bring your lawn chair and enjoy the evening.

On Saturday June 26 @ 2-4PM bring the family to Cedar Fairmount for activities such as a walking tour of the district, free books from the Heights Library book bike, silly hat-making with Debbie Apple Presser, and “Hallucinogenic Pachyderms” line dancing led by Robin VanLear, the legendary creator of Parade the Circle, in the parking lot next to Nighttown at 2, 2:50 and 3:40pm.

Cedar Fairmount will also be hosting food trucks Tuesdays @ 11:30am-1:30pm. Check their website for updates on what trucks will be there and where they will be.

Go to Cedarfairmount.org/summer for info about these events and upcoming ones.
