Two Artists Converse Online to Kick Off moCa’s Spring Benefit Auction

MoCa Cleveland kicks off its benefit auction tonight with the first of two spring fundraiser artist talks. Chicago-based artist Michelle Grabner, a professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, who was the curator of Cleveland’s initial FRONT International Triennial in 2018 and had a solo exhibition at moCa Cleveland, with talk with fellow artist (and Oberlin alum) Jessica Jackson Hutchins, whose mixed-media work is created with found objects such as furniture and ceramics. The conversation will range around how and why they create the art they do, how the pandemic affected their work, and why art matters.
