Morgan Conservatory Opens Its National Juried Show

Fri 4/9-Sat 5/22

Cleveland’s Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory has acquired a national reputation as a go-to place for artists to work with paper at all stages, from harvesting kozo in its kozo grove, the largest in the U.S., to turning it into paper, to making things out of the paper. It regularly hosts artists-in-residence from around the country, setting up creative exchanges with local artists and art lovers.

Another way it does that is through its national juried exhibition, which opens this Friday April 9. Morgan Juried Show opens. Jurors Tizziana Baldenebro, executive director of SPACES, and Arnold Tunstall, director of Myers School of Art’s University Galleries, chose slightly more than 50 artists from among the submissions they received to demonstrate the countless ways artists fashion paper into art.

The show runs through Saturday May 22. Gallery hours are Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm or by appointment.
