The Cleveland Museum of Art and Literary Cleveland are collaborating on a series of virtual programs based on CMA’s current show Stories from Storage, in which various local storytellers share their interpretations of objects in the show.
This week Cleveland’s Mourning [A] BLKstar will offer what’s described as a “meditative soundscape,” created in partnership with multimedia artists Jenn Kidd. The inspiration comes from a set of Hindu devotional objects: Green Tara; Agni, God of Fire; and Bodhisattva Manjushri: Lord of Wisdom. Mourning [A] BLKstar members RA Washington and Teresa May will talk with curator Sonya Rhie Mace about their own interpretations of these works.
