Hale Farm Offers Springtime Events to Enjoy Outdoors

Sat 4/24-Sun 2/25, Sat 5/1-Sun 5/2, Sat 5/8-Sun 5/9 @ 10am-2pm

Sat 4/24 @ 10am-noon

Hale Farm & Village is offering northeast Ohioans, even those still worried about Covid precautions, an opportunity to get out and enjoy the outdoors just as nature is springing to life. This weekend, and two subsequent weekends, enjoy Picnic Days at the Farm. You’re invited to bring your own picnic and walk the trails through the surrounding forests to spot the emerging wildflowers and migrant birds coming back to this region.

There’ll also be kids’ games on the green and craft kits to make-and-take or just to take home to make. As usual, there’ll be Hale’s signature demonstrations of artisan and pioneer skills but these will be specifically seasonal — flower pressing, cooking with foraged plants and more.

Admission is only $6 and tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

In addition, on Saturday April 24, @ 10am-noon, Hale will be offering a “Behind the Ropes: Architecture and Curiosity Tour” to share some of the history of the village museum and how it came about. It’s a walking tour suitable for ages 13 and over. Tickets are limited so reserve immediately.
