April 12th is National Grilled Cheese Day — you know there’s a holiday for everything. And of course North East Ohio is home to the popular Melt Bar & Grilled restaurants whose cornerstone is the grilled cheese sandwich in all its permutations (although the menu has expanded well beyond JUST grilled cheese). There’s no such thing as too much cheese… or too much of the arts!
The Melt chain started in Lakewood, so in honor of this day, it’s hooked up with Lakewood’s Beck Center for the Arts to hold a fundraiser where 20% of all sales at the Lakewood, Independence, Avon and Mentor stores will go to the Beck Center for its inclusive arts programming.
“Your participation in our fundraiser is especially critical this year, as we recover from the lasting effects of the pandemic,” they say.
The donation will be made on dine-in and carry-out orders and even applies to alcohol sales. You must show the flyer (either a hard copy or on your phone) when you order for the fundraiser to apply. Find it here.
