Author Shares Secrets of Self-Publishing Promotion

Tue 3/16 @ 7PM

One of the books we enjoyed the most last year was first-time author Maggie Sullivan’s Boss Ladies of CLE.

For the book, Sullivan tracked down 20 Cleveland women in diverse fields including politics, food, the arts and business, to share their stories, interviewing them and photographing them on her phone. Some of her subjects, such as Mary Verdi-Fletcher of Dancing Wheels and Cleveland councilwoman Jasmyn Santana, are quite well known, while others were sharing their stories with an audience outside their field for the first time.

Sullivan published and promoted the book herself, gaining widespread coverage, despite being a novice at the process, although she’s not entirely with experience: her day job is helping other companies build their brand awareness and expand their markets.

She’s also generous with the knowledge she’s built, which she’ll be sharing at a webinar via Loganberry Books called Lines fro Loganberry. She’ll talk about marketing your book with a limited budget, sharing how to get the most from the resources you have. Register for the Zoom event here:
