Tue 2/23-Thu 2/25 @ 7PM

The Akron Art Museum wraps up its February series Midwinter Blues and Other Tunes with “Fizz,” three evenings of what they call “celebration and focus.

As with the previous editions, Tuesday night (February 23) is dedicated to a local entrepreneur, this week downtown Akron coffee shop compass, a project of community development organization The Well. Wednesday (February 24) features a visual artist: this week’s is Long Beach-based collagist Dakarai Akil who describes his work as “Black surrealism.” He’ll share a “Day in the Life” of an artist. And the whole thing wraps up with music on Thursday February 26, with

Akron’s jazzy Alba Trio and Cleveland’s soul/jazz/spoken word ensemble Mourning [A] BLKstar providing the sounds.

It’s all free. Go here to tune in online.
