Learn How Weather and Astronomy Intersect in Virtual Family Program

Mon 3/1 @ 6:30-7:30PM

You don’t really have to go anywhere to look at the skies. In fact, it’s the perfect quarantine activity, although it might be a bit cold for that now.

But if you’d like some guidance in what to look for as you gaze upwards, why don’t you join the Geauga Skywatchers Club for a virtual program hosted by Geauga Park District, the Geauga County Library System, Burton Public Library and the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society?

Primarily for 6-12th graders, but open to any curious person (great for the whole family!) “Weather or Not?” will talk about the connection between astronomy and meteorology, sharing both facts and folklore, as well as history, shedding light on everything from the Dog Days of Summer to the Salem Witch Trials to old proverbs about the moon to modern satellite images.

It’s free but registration is required. Go here to register.
