Downtown Kent Promotes Love & Health Heart with “Kent Goes Red”

Mon 2/1-Sun 2/28

The nonprofit Main Street Kent is focused on finding new ways to bring people into downtown Kent, and it’s been busy in recent months creating safe, socially distanced strolls people can take on their own or with their family. Their latest is Kent Go Red, a month-long February event that combines themes of Valentine’s Day and heart health. It features both outdoor and indoor decorations at downtown businesses, with activities that promote both physical and emotional wellness.

You’ll find windows decorated all over downtown, and “Kent Goes Red” messages in local stores and restaurants. Read the messages and sign the online guest book and you’ll be entered to win gift cards and prizes from local businesses.

Troppus Projects will have a “Black, White and Red All Over” art exhibit; Red Letter Days will offer a “grab and go” craft for kids, Popped! will have heart-healthy dark chocolates and Squirrel Ciry Jewelers have created a custom heart squirrel necklace. And many of the local restaurants will be featuring tasty healthy food specials.

Get the full details on everything going on here, then get off your duff and take a walk!
