Oberlin Stage Left Hosts Conversation Between Two Alumni Bluegrass Musicians

Fri 1/29 @ 7:30PM

This week, Oberlin Conservatory’s Oberlin Stage Left virtual series offers a conversation between two alumni.

In “The Red Herring Conversations, actor/banjo player and Oberlin board member Ed Helms (’96) and professional bluegrass guitarist Chris Eldridge (’04) of the Punch Brothers will discuss topics such as their mutual love of bluegrass music and other American roots music and talk about Eldridge’s appointment as Visiting Associate Professor of Contemporary American Acoustic Music at Oberlin. That professorship, which started this month, was created due to Helms’ support.

Go here to drop in on the conversation.
