No one enjoys a good party more than the North Coast Men’s Chorus, whose benefits are intended to provide a good time as well as raise money.

Although their live events will have to wait a little longer, this week they’re hosting a virtual murder mystery event called “Guess Who’s Dying at Dinner,” written by D’Ann and Rick Artist and directed by NCMC’s longtime artistic director Rich Cole.

Based on Girls Night Out, it starts with four friends having dinner at a restaurant where it turns out their waiter is the ex-husband of one of them and has had interactions with the others.  As they argue and accuse, someone ends up dead. But who killed him?

“With everyone having motive and opportunity, you’ll need to use all your skills to figure out who the murderer is,” they promise. “Join us for a virtual evening of fun as you watch the drama play out, and guess who was the killer at the end of the night.”

The event also offered auction items and raffle prizes. You can purchase single tickets, family/group packs to have a party at your house or VIP packages where the ingredients for a signature cocktail are delivered to your door. Everyone who buys a ticket gets a cocktail recipe book containing a decade’s worth of NCMC Murder Mystery drink history and “other fun tidbits,” courtesy of Cole.
