Brite Winter Re-Imagines Itself as Four-Episode Online “TwiBrite Zone”

Fri 1/15 @ 7-9PM

Fri 2/19 @ 7-9PM

Fri 3/5 @ 7-9PM

Fri 4/9 @ 7-9PM

Well, folks, as we told you a couple of weeks ago, this year’s Brite Winter festival won’t be taking place as a mass gathering on the West Bank of the Flats. But the organizers are moving ahead with their announced plan to provide some online programming to keep the idea of the festival, which would have celebrated Year 12 this year, alive.

The TwiBrite Zone series will offer four monthly programs on Facebook and YouTube, that they say are “inspired by the year 2020.” Each will have a Twilight Zone theme and present local music acts, along with Brite mascot Fluri and others showcasing some of the activities that have been derailed and reimagining holidays that changed their form in the last year. Content creators include Haley Himiko, Susie Underwood and Aldous Moustache; featured music acts are Post Saga, Eliy Orcko and the Labra Brothers.

Episode 1 is called “Beach Party.” The series is free and no registration is required.
