Radio on the Lake Theatre Reprises Scripts Based on Classic Films

Wed 12/2, Wed 12/9, Wed 12/16 & Wed 12/23

Radio on the Lake Theatre, based in Shaker Heights, is dedicated to the retro art form of the radio plays, harkening back to the days when the family gathered around the radio for an evening’s entertainment, and used their imaginations to supply the images.

For the next month, they’ll be reprising some of the past performances of classic radio plays adapted from beloved classic films, many with a holiday theme

“Listening to the radio play adaptation of a favorite film with your family is a wonderful way to spend the holidays, particularly in these challenging times when we have to shelter in place,” says ROTLT Executive Director Caroline Breder-Watts. “The titles we’ve chosen are sure to bring a rush of nostalgia, and hopefully, a smile as well.”

The titles include:

Casablanca: December 2

I Remember Mama: December 9

Miracle on 34th Street: December 16

It’s a Wonderful Life: December 23

They’ll be posted on the ROTLT website on the dates listed:
