Sat 12/5 @ 1PM
The Jazz Studies program at Tri-C is known across the country for the quality of players it produces, both in its high school and college levels programs. Its Tri-C JazzFest Academy is another arm of its educational programs, and despite the pandemic, the students have been hard at work. Rhythm section players have been practicing in person at Tri-C, while horn players have been joining in remotely.
Despite this necessary piecemeal approach, the students will still be presenting their Tri-C JazzFest Academy Fall Concert. Academy Artistic director Dominick Farinacci and faculty members Aidan Plank, Chris Coles, Johnny Cochran, Dan Bruce and Anthony Taddeo will be showing off the progress their students have made, and you can listen on Zoom. It’s free; go here to check it out.
