You can always go downtown on your own to enjoy the lavish Christmas decorations which will on display throughout the holidays. But why not book a Downtown Christmas Walking Tour through Tours of Cleveland Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 27 (except Christmas Day)?
You’ll stroll at a leisurely pace from Public Square, where you can take in the daily light and sound show, to Playhouse Square with a guide who’ll relate the history of some of the buildings, epecially Euclid Avenue’s former major department stores, now all converted to other uses. You’ll hear about Higbee’s Twigbee Shop, Halle Bros. Mr. Jingeling and the Sterling-Lindner Christmas tree, among other things.
