Journalist/storyteller Justin Glanville and Woodhill Homes resident Jeanette Marbley, who has plenty of stories of her own, have joined together to co-host a weekly podcast/WCPN radio series called Inside the Bricks: Woodhill Homes.
The series hones in on personal stories about life in one of the oldest public housing projects in the country, dating back to the 1940s and the impact on the residents as it faces a proposed plan to rebuild, update and expand the homes. They talk to a formerly homeless man, a line cook who is job hunting, and a home health care aide confronting the challenge of eating health in a so-called “food desert.” The final episode on December 15 will be live and feature Woodhill residents and CMHA administrators.
