The eighth episode of Cleveland chamber orchestra Les Delices’ free online SalonEra series is titled “Unwritten Traditions.”
In it, improvisation specialists Robert Mealy, director of Historical Performance and Baroque Chamber Music at the Juilliard School; multi-instrumentalist and early music specialist Shira Kammen; woodwinds expert Priscilla Herreid (pictured); and harpsichordist and Oberlin Assistant Professor of Harpsichord Mark Edwards will discuss their work and how they approach reconstructing vanished musical traditions, from Medieval times through the Baroque era.
While the series is free to watch, a $10 donation would be much appreciated — or more, if you’re so inclined. We need to keep our small arts groups alive!
