When Cleveland’s Downtown Winterfest kicks off on Saturday November 28, there won’t be a mobbed tree-lighting at Public Square with entertainment, vendors, food trucks, skating rink, carriage rides and all sorts of activities. That’ll have to wait until (hopefully) next year.

But from then until early next year, downtown will be sporting festive holiday décor, starting with a virtual tree-lighting @ 7pm November 28, featuring the Singing Angels, Santa and Mayor Jackson. That’s a reason to bundle up and come on down anytime. There’ll be animated light and sound shows three tines an hour from 4pm-10pm, and a Santas of the World scavenger hunt, a self-guided tour to find 13 vintage Santas and holiday dolls. Pick up some takeout from a downtown restaurant before you head home to enjoy some of the virtual activities you’ll find on the Winterfest website.
