Cleveland Orchestra Musicians Perform Mozart Free Online Concert

Mon 12/7 @ 7:30PM

The Rocky River Chamber Music Society, which presents free concerts at the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church during better times, is extending its virtual concerts into the winter, continuing its mission to present some of the best classical musicians around in widely accessible performance.

And given that the five who will perform on Monday December 7 are all members of the Cleveland Orchestra, they definitely rank among the best. In a performance accurately dubbed “Nothing But Mozart,” they’ll perform a pair of Mozart pieces at West Shore UU, utilizing its outstanding acoustics, but without a live audience.

The musicians include clarinetist Daniel McKelway (who is also a RRCMS board member and Rocky River resident), violist Lembi Veskimets, violinist Peter Otto, violinist Yun-Ting Lee and cellist Dane Johnson. They’ll be playing Mozart’s String Quartet No. 19 in C major and his Clarinet Quintet in A major.

Hook up to listen at either the RRCMS Facebook or YouTube page. As usual, the concert is free but donations will definitely not be rejected!
