With COVID-19 infections surging to the highest level since the pandemic began, we’ve got to preface our posts on any event not 100% virtual with “Check for updates.”
That goes for Cleveland Metroparks’ Winter Riverfest, taking place at and around Merwin’s Wharf in the Flats. A brand new event, it’s promising a host of activities in adjacent Rivergate Park on the bank of the Cuyahoga River, including a synthetic skating rink (the one at Public Square has already been cancelled for the season, but they’re promising limited capacity and taking reservations), lighting displays, a beer garden, fire pits, an igloo village for outdoor dining isolated with your “pod” and inside Merwin’s Wharf, a retail shop.
Winter Riverfest is scheduled to kick off Friday November 27 @ 11am-8pm and be open Wednesday-Sundays through Sunday December 20, every day except Christmas through January 3, and again Wednesday-Sunday January 6-17, and ending on Monday January 18, MLK Day. Hours are 11am-8pm all days.
