Virtual Jewish Film Festival Features More Than Two Dozen Films

Thu 10/15-Sun 10/25

Like every other film festival and most movie theaters, the 14thannual Mandel JCC Jewish FilmFest will be virtual this year, offering more than two dozen Jewish-themed films, several of them offering live, interactive Zoom conversations. As usual, there are films dealing with World War II and the Holocaust, including A Call to Spy, an “inspired by a real story” narrative of three unusual women recruited by a British agency to help sabotage the Nazi rule of France. But there are lighter and more offbeat films as well, including the Israeli film Flawless, the story of three teen girls, one of them transgender, who seek plastic surgery to cure their lack of popularity.

Each film is scheduled for a certain time slot and pass holders have 48 hours from then to watch it. Films are only available for Ohio viewing and have limited viewership, so some will sell out. To learn about the films and purchase your passes, go here.
