With so many regular events having skipped a year or fallen off the schedule, it’s nice to hear of a new one being added to the calendar — especially one that’s conducive to social distancing and other safety precautions.
The businesses in downtown Willoughby have gotten together to debut Second Saturday to promote their establishments as places to eat, shop and view art. To kick it off, the October theme is “Fall in Love with Willoughby.” There’ll be outdoor music on the streets, coordinated by The Fine Arts Association and Willoughby Arts Collaborative, pop-up dance performances courtesy of the Fairmount Dance Company, chalk art by Andrews Osborne Academy students and members of the Willoughby Arts Collaborative and artist vendors throughout downtown.
