Cleveland Public Library Offers an Array of Voting Resources

If you’re looking for information about the presidential election — or in fact, any election — there’s no better place to go than the Cleveland Public Library. CPL has formed partnerships with civic groups, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections to provide information to the public under the theme “Democracy 2020,” in order to make people aware of how they can participate and effect change.

Visit cpl.org for resources, videos, and recommended reads to learn about voting and what’s on the ballot. Do you know who your state representative and senator are? You should! What goes on in Columbus has a major impact on our lives. Books & Ballots is CPL’s virtual election discussion with a representative from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Looking ahead, CPL has a pair of December programs with nationally recognized authors. Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, author of How To Be a Antiracist, will host a virtual discussion on Friday December 4 @ 2pm. On Saturday December 5 @ noon, Brian Stevenson, author of Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, will speak.

Staff at all Cleveland Public Library locations are available to answer questions about the election. People are encouraged to use ASK CPL, our online chat system on cpl.org to live chat with a Librarian.
