Fri 10/30 @ 5PM
Tom Kiefer was a janitor at an Arizona migrant detention center who secretly rescued possessions taken from refugees to be thrown in the trash, and photographed them as a memorial to those they were taken from. His work was shared widely after it was shown last year in Los Angeles, finding confluence with the outrage many Americans felt about the treatment of refugees at the border.
Now his exhibit El Sueño Americano – The American Dream: Photographs by Tom Kiefer will have another showing — at the Cleveland Print Room. It will be in the gallery, where you can see it by appointment, but it will also be available online starting on Fri 10/30 @ 5pm, when they’d normally be having an opening reception but oh well. Blame the same guy who amped up the mistreatment of people at the border.
Email info@clevelandprintroom.com if you’d like to see the actual photos.
