Volunteer for Rescheduled RiverSweep to Remove Trash from Rivershed

Sat 9/12 @ 9-11AM

Over 30 years, volunteers have collected 713 tons of trash and 24,757 discarded tires as part of CanalWay Partners’ annual RiverSweep. Like so many things, the annual spring RiverSweep didn’t take place this year in its usual form, with people invited to do some cleaning along the Cuyahoga River watershed independently.

But unlike many events, its rescheduled fall date this week is happening. Volunteers should do online to sign up for a site for themselves of their group. You can come with a team or be assigned to a team of no more than 10 people. Each registrant will received a kit with garbage bags, latex gloves, garden gloves, a RiverSweep bandana and a map of their assigned location to clean. Bring your own mask to wear and follow social distancing practices while working.

Go here to register for your preferred site in the Flats, Slavic Village, Mill Creek, Big Creek/Lower Harvard or Garfield Heights.
