Trinity Cathedral Concludes Its Three-Concert Series

Fri 9/18 @ 7PM

Trinity Cathedral is known for its outstanding music programs, and this past spring and summer it presented a pair of performances of Bach cello suites by Clevelan Orchestra principal cellist Mark Kosower, the first of a series of three concerts it scheduled.

The final concert, taking place this week, is entirely different. A half dozen musicians will convene to play music from the 19th and 20th centuries. Organist Nicole Keller will play Nadia Boulanger’s Three Improvisations for Organ, composed in 1911. Then pianist Elizabeth DeMio and violinist Andrew Sords will performance Johannes Brahms’ Sonata in A Major (1886).

Finally tenor JR Fralick and countertenor John McElliott will perform Benjamin Britten’s 1952 Canticle II: Abraham and Isaac, accompanied by Todd Wilson on piano.

The concert will be livestreamed on Music & Art at Trinity’s Facebook page. Go here for more info. It’s free although they hope you will make a donation to support futures arts programming.
