It’s time to think about getting out that vote on November 3. That means making sure everyone is registered and has the information they need about how to vote.
Slavic Village VOTES: A Community Pushes for Civic Representation features five op-up events over three days to provide that information. Not only will they register you and provide you with an application to get a mail-in ballot, they’ll also help you do the census if you haven’t do so already. There’ll be prizes, free refreshments and a drawing for a TV at each of the locations.
Stop by Neighborhood Pets Outreach & Resource Center (3711 East 65th Street) from 11am-2pm Friday September 18 and Saturday September 19, where you can also learn about the services they provide to pet owners in need. Or come to Elizabeth Baptist Church (8114 Francis Avenue) Saturday September 19 @ noon-3pm
On Sunday September 20 there are two more events: at AB Hart School (3900 E. 75th Street) @ noon-3pm and at Daisy Ice Cream (5416 Fleet Avenue) @ 4-7pm.
