Masonic Temple Launches Cult Classics Film Series

Looking to go out and see a movie on a large screen? The Cleveland Masonic Temple in Midtown is opening its doors for a series for its Temple Live Cult Classics series in its spacious 2,000-seat auditorium — but limited to 275 people. Parties will maximum of six people will be socially distanced, masks will be required except when snacking or drinking, temperatures will be taken and there’ll be multiple hand sanitizer stations.

So what can you see? The series launches with a pair of David Lynch’s strange films, filled with weird, inexplicable and surreal occurrence: 1986’s noir-style Blue Velvet, starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern, and 1990’s Wild at Heart with Nicolas Cage, Laura Dern and Willem Dafoe. There’s a 20-minute intermission between the films; concessions, including adult beverages, will be available.

October 17: Phantom of The Opera

November 21: Blazing Saddles and Clerks

December 12: Nightmare Before Christmas and Elf
