Kent’s Oktoberfest Spreads Out Over More Days and Locations

Mon 9/21-Sat 9/26

The annual Kent Oktoberfest, put on by Main Street Kent in partnership with Platform Brew Co., is adopting a different format this year. You can still enjoy beer, pretzels and hearty German food, but it’ll be spread out over a week at various area bars and eateries so there’s no big crowd in any one place — no street vendors, no big outdoor stage.

Instead, all week long, participating businesses will be offering fall beverages and German specialties, such as German potato salad, bratwurst, pretzel bites, keilbasa with kraut, and even some non-German specials such as Oktoberfest burritos and pierogis. Go out several nights and avoid that overstuffed feeling! You can also get food to go so only the dog will be laughing at your lederhosen.

Participating businesses include Buffalo Wild Wings, Dominick’s, Eldorado’s Pizza, Kent Cheesemonger, Kent Lanes, Mike’s Place, Panini’s, Ray’s Place, Taco Tonto’s, The Pub, Tree City Coffee, Treno Ristorante, Venice Cafe, Water Street Tavern and Zephyr Pub.

Missing the music? The Hometown Bank concert series is offering a performance by the Chardon Polka Band on the rooftop of the Water Street Tavern rooftop Friday September 25 from 7-9pm. Wear your mask and social distance, please!
