Hudson Library Airs Apollo’s Fire Concert

Sun 10/4 @ 2PM

Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland’s baroque orchestra, has been carefully mixing limited opportunities to hear them live, with copious chances to listen virtually.

One of the latter is coming up this weekend when the Hudson Library and Historical Society airs a one-hour concert featuring six musicians recorded live in August at Canton’s Gervasi Vineyard. It’s a version of their popular Tuscan Sun program, comprising “rustic music” from Baroque Italy by composers such as Claudio Monteverdi and Girolamo Frescobaldi as well as traditional street tunes, “evoking a summer evening in old Tuscany,” they tell us.

This is the first time this concert is available for streaming. To listen go to the Hudson Library’s Facebook page. After October 12 it will be available on the Hudson Library website.
