Enjoy Another Drive-In Concert to End the Summer

Sat 10/3 @ 4-7PM

Soon enough, it’ll be cold and we’ll all be quarantined in our homes for another five months — sorry, all, but you shouldn’t have been so ready to “be through” with the pandemic that you didn’t take adequate cautions all summer, and no, it’s not “going away” after Election Day.

So some local musicians are getting in one more drive-in concert while the weather is (hopefully) nice. In August, Cleveland-based guitarist Moises Borges and his Brazilian Ensemble and Akron zydeco-fueled party band Mo’Mojo hooked up to do such a concert at the Unitarian Universalism Congregation of Cleveland in Shaker Heights. They had such fun — and so did their fans — that they are doing it again. And once again it’s a fundraiser for the sidemen/woman, those backup musicians who don’t have the opportunity to do solo shows at wineries and restaurant patios.

Each band will play a full 75-minute set. The audience will remain in, or next to their cars, which will be parked in alternate spaces. Rain date is October 4. Make your donation here.
