Kids Can Hunt for Gnomes at the Cleveland Botanical Garden

Many of the museums that were closed during the spring and early summer are open now, so there are plenty of places to take the kids while you wait to hear what on earth is going on with their schools opening.

And get outside while you can, to someplace like the Cleveland Botanical Garden garden with its series of outdoor gardens (if being inside still makes you a little anxious) including the Hershey Children’s Garden. There’s plenty there to engage kids including a treehouse, a sandbox, a vegetable and herb garden, beehives, a pond with fish, frogs and turtles. And now also: the Gnome Scavenger Hunt. There are 19 gnomes hidden around the garden and kids can have fun locating them all.

There’s a handwashing station available, masks are required when close to others for all guests over the age of 2, and only one family group can access the treehouse at one time.

The Hershey Children’s Garden is included with regular admission. It’s open to visitors during regular CBG hours, Tuesday-Sunday (until 4pm on Wednesday). Reservations are required to visit at this time.
