Exhibit Honoring 2020 Inductees to Open at Rock Hall

Fri 8/14

So the Rock Hall inductions were due to be back in Cleveland this year, first in the usual May time slot, then postponed to November. Now the November induction has become an HBO special honoring the class of 2020: Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, the Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex, and artist managers Jon Landau and Irving Azoff. The special will air on the date the live event was re-scheduled for, November 7. The 2021 inductions will move to the fall and will take place in Cleveland.

To tide you over, the Rock Hall will go ahead with its annual exhibit devoted to the current year’s class of inductees, opening on Friday August 14, featuring artifacts relating to the inductees, such as the suit worn by Notorious B.I.G. on the cover of XXL Magazine following his death in 1997; gowns designed for Whitney Houston by Marc Bouwer when she was a young, fresh-faced superstar; a tunic worn by T. Rex’s MarcBolan while recording the 1973 album Tanx; and a special installation devoted to Nine Inch Nails, who launched their career in Cleveland.

It will be in the Hall of Fame Gallery on level 3 of the museum.
