Lake Erie Ink Looking for Submissions Reflecting on “One Summer Day”

Through Mon 7/27

Looking around for a challenge to keep yourself occupied? Lake Erie Ink: a writing space for youth has one for you.

It’s called “One Summer Day… A Creative Community Challenge.” It invited anyone — all ages — who wants to participate to response to the phrase “One Summer Day,” with a poem, story or essay under 500 words, or an artwork, including comics. The goal is to encourage people to think creatively and to connect via that creativity. They’ll be publishing an anthology at the end of summer, and some written pieces will be visually interpreted by artists to be displayed in a local store window.

Deadline is July 27. Mail it to 2843 Washington Blvd, Cleveland Heights 44118 or drop it off at their office. You can also submit online through the One Summer Day page on their website.
